Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said on Friday a pledge worth 5 billion euros ($5.6 billion) from the European Union to help the country cope with the fallout from its worst flooding in at least two decades may not be enough to cover its losses.

The 5 billion euro ($5.6 billion) fund pledged by the European Union (EU) for Poland may not cover all the losses caused by recent heavy flooding, Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski has said.

Andrzej Duda, on Friday, visited the flood-hit town of Ladek-Zdroj, southwestern Poland, as well as other towns in the affected region, the President's Office told PAP.
