21-year-old Sofia Labus from Cork has been crowned Miss Ireland for the next 12 months. The Cork woman is studying Criminology in UCC was crowned Miss Universe Ireland at a glittering ceremony at The Fairways Hotel Dundalk over the weekend Sofia was born in Ireland and her parents are from Serbia.

A Cork student was crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2024 after being chosen from 27 contestants at a glamorous pageant on Friday night.

The 21-year-old will now go on to represent Ireland at the 73rd Miss Universe final in Mexico City this November

It would have been a crime if Sofia Labus hadn’t won Miss Universe Ireland. For the 21-year-old student at University College Cork is cramming for a degree in criminology and hopes to become a human trafficking investigator after her studies.
