India's Vodafone Idea on Sunday concluded a $3.6 billion deal with mobile and network manufacturers Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of equipment over a period of three years, it said in a statement to exchanges.

Shares of debt-ridden Vodafone Idea surged by more than 11% on Monday, following the announcement of a major deal to secure telecom equipment for its upcoming 4G and 5G network expansion. The telecom operator inked agreements worth $3.

The deal aims to revitalise the company and boost its infrastructure, fuelling hope for various stakeholders, including equipment vendors and its subscribers

New Delhi: Shares of Vodafone Idea on Monday jumped 14 per cent after the firm awarded contracts worth about Rs 30,000 crore to Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of 4G and 5G network equipment for three years. The stock surged 11.73 per cent to Rs 11.71 on the BSE. At the NSE, it soared 14 per cent to Rs 11.94.
