Thieves crashed a vehicle after carjacking a woman at gunpoint Thursday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood, according to police. It happened just before 11 p.m. in the 9900 block of South Halsted Street.

A man has been arrested after a car crash that injured a female pedestrian. South Wales Police said the incident occured in the Penarth Road area of Grangetown, Cardiff, on Friday afternoon. The force described the woman's injures as "non-life threatening". Road closures are in place and police has advised motorists to avoid the area.

Two people carjacked a woman at gunpoint and crashed her car Thursday night in Chicago's Washington Heights neighborhood.

A woman was shot and critically wounded in the South Shore neighborhood Thursday afternoon. Around 4 p.m., the woman was shot at 6826 S. Cornell Ave., just south of Jackson Park. She was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
