Apple has confirmed to publications including Engadget that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have a new electrically-induced battery removal

The Information published a story that Apple had developed new “electrically induced adhesive debonding” technology to secure the battery in the latest iPhone, replacing adhesive strips. Apple has now confirmed that is the case, according to Engadget.

As you can see, most iPhone 16s have had around 6% more battery capacity compared to last year. The only exception being the iPhone 16 Pro, which has an additional 9.4% power reserves.
