Even though Matthew Knies is about to enter the final year of his entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the 21-year-old forward is not dwelling on contract negotiations yet. Instead, Knies is focused on continuing to develop his game and contributing to the Leafs' success this season.

The forward has begun Maple Leafs training camp alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner whom he spent time with last season. It's still early in training camp, however, it could be a trio that Toronto begins the regular season with.
